AmeriCredit Corporation

AmeriCredit Corporation is listed on NYSE (ACF). AmeriCredit Corp. was incorporated in Texas on May 18, 1988, and succeeded to the business, assets and liabilities of a predecessor corporation formed under the laws of Texas on August 1, 1986. The Company's predecessor began operations in March 1987, and the business has been operated continuously since that time. As used herein, the term Company refers to AmeriCredit Corp., its wholly-owned subsidiaries and its predecessor corporation. The Company's principal executive offices are located at 801 Cherry Street, Suite 3900, Fort Worth, Texas, 76102 and its telephone number is (817) 302-7000. The Company and its subsidiaries have been operating in the automobile finance business since September 1992. The Company purchases auto finance contracts without recourse from franchised and select independent automobile dealerships. As used herein, loans includes auto finance contracts originated by dealers and purchased by the Company.
