Affiliated Managers Group Inc. is listed on NYSE (AMG). We are an asset management company with equity investments in a diverse group of mid-sized investment management firms (our Affiliates). As of December 31, 2004, our affiliated investment management firms managed approximately $129.8 billion in assets across a broad range of investment styles and in three principal distribution channels: Mutual Fund, Institutional and High Net Worth. We pursue a growth strategy designed to generate shareholder value through the internal growth of our existing business across these three channels, in addition to investments in mid-sized investment management firms and strategic transactions and relationships designed to enhance our Affiliates businesses and growth prospects. In our investments in Affiliates, we typically hold a majority equity interest in each firm, with the remaining equity interests retained by the management of the Affiliate.
