Applica Incorporated is listed on NYSE (APN). Applica is a marketer and distributor of a broad range of branded small household appliances. Applica markets and distributes kitchen products, home products, pest control products, pet care products and personal care products. Applica markets products under licensed brand names, such as Black & Decker®, and its own brand names, such as Windmere®, LitterMaid®, Belson® and Applica®. Applica's customers include mass merchandisers, specialty retailers and appliance distributors primarily in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean. Applica operates a manufacturing facility in Mexico. Since 2003, we have been making changes to our infrastructure by addressing the fixed costs in our business. We believe that these changes will help offset the margin pressures resulting from the combination of the inflation in raw materials prices and the deflationary pricing pressures from the retail environment.
