NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS 3.1 Overview Founded in 1985, ATI is a world leader in the supply of graphics processing products and technology for desktop and notebook PCs, consumer electronic devices, DTVs and video game consoles. We apply our proprietary technologies, design capabilities and software to provide graphics solutions for customers in all our target markets. Our business is organized around two main markets for semiconductor graphics products: PC products and consumer electronic devices. Our RADEON product line is a recognized leader in the PC graphics market. Although representing less than 5% of our revenues in fiscal 2003, we believe that the markets for consumer electronic devices represent a key area for the future growth of our business.
