BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. is listed on NASDAQ (BMRN). We develop and commercialize innovative biopharmaceuticals for serious diseases and medical conditions. We select product candidates for diseases and conditions that represent a significant medical need, have well-understood biology and provide an opportunity to be first-to-market. Our product portfolio is comprised of two approved products and multiple investigational product candidates. Aldurazyme (laronidase), has been approved for marketing in the United States by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), in the European Union (E.U.) by the European Medicines Evaluation Agency (EMEA) and other countries for the treatment of mucopolysaccharidosis I (MPS I). MPS I is a progressive and debilitating life-threatening genetic disease that frequently results in death during childhood or early adulthood.
