We are committed to being the innovator and leader in providing products for the treatment of patients with Functional Somatic Syndromes and other central nervous system disorders. Functional Somatic Syndromes refer to several related syndromes characterized more by symptoms, suffering and disability than by disease-specific abnormalities that are found upon physical examination and include many overlapping pain and psychiatric conditions such as Fibromyalgia Syndrome, or FMS, irritable bowel syndrome, non-cardiac chest pain and interstitial cystitis, or chronic pelvic pain. Our goal is to be the first to commercialize a product approved in the United States for the treatment of FMS, the focus of our initial efforts in the area of Functional Somatic Syndromes. In January 2004, we entered into a collaboration agreement with Forest Laboratories, Inc.
