Famous Daves of America Inc. is listed on NASDAQ (DAVE). Famous Dave’s of America, Inc. (Famous Dave’s) was incorporated as a Minnesota corporation in March 1994 and opened its first restaurant in Minneapolis in June 1995. As of January 2, 2005, there were 104 Famous Dave’s restaurants operating in 24 states, including 38 company-owned restaurants and 66 franchise-operated restaurants, and there were an additional 159 franchise restaurants in various stages of development. Until February 26, 2003, Famous Dave’s was a 40% participant in a joint venture to operate themed restaurant concepts based on the entertainment artist Isaac Hayes. Pursuant to an agreement governing the joint venture, the participants formed a Delaware limited liability company named FUMUME, LLC. FUMUME, LLC opened its first location in Chicago, Illinois in June 2001 and opened its second location in Memphis, Tennessee in October 2001.
