Overview We were incorporated in Delaware on December 1, 1981 as Medical Advisory Systems, Inc. to provide medical assistance and technical products and services. On March 27, 2002, we completed a merger pursuant to which the former Digital Angel Corporation became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Medical Advisory Systems and was renamed Digital Angel Technology Corporation, and Medical Advisory Systems was renamed Digital Angel Corporation. In connection with the merger, Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. contributed to Medical Advisory Systems all of its stock in Timely Technology, a wholly-owned subsidiary, and Signature Industries, then an 85.0%-owned subsidiary.
