Edison International is listed on NYSE (EIX). Edison International was incorporated on April 20, 1987, under the laws of the State of California for the purpose of becoming the parent holding company of SCE, a California public utility corporation, and of other subsidiaries engaged in nonutility businesses (Nonutility Companies). SCE comprises the largest portion of the assets and revenue of Edison International. The principal Nonutility Companies are: EME, which is an independent power producer engaged in the business of owning or leasing, operating and selling energy and capacity from electric power generation facilities and also conducts price risk management and energy trading activities in power markets open to competition; MEHC, which holds Page 1 the common stock of EME; and Edison Capital, which has investments in energy and infrastructure projects worldwide and in affordable housing projects located throughout the United States.
