First Community Bancshares Inc. is listed on NASDAQ (FCBC). First Community Bancshares, Inc. is a one-bank holding company incorporated in the State of Nevada and serves as the holding company for First Community Bank, N. A. (FCBNA or the Bank), a national association that conducts commercial banking operations within the states of Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee. United First Mortgage, Inc. (UFM), acquired in the latter part of 1999, was a wholly owned subsidiary of FCBNA through August 17, 2004 and served as a wholesale and retail distribution channel for FCBNA's mortgage banking business segment. In August, the Company sold 100% of its interest in UFM. Accordingly, the Company's financial statements have been reformatted to segregate the assets, liabilities, operations and cash flows of this discontinued operating segment.
