Foodarama Supermarkets, Inc., a New Jersey corporation formed in 1958, operates a chain of twenty-six supermarkets located in Central New Jersey, as well as two liquor stores and one garden center, all licensed as ShopRite. We also operate a central food processing facility to supply our stores with certain meat products, various prepared salads, prepared foods and other items, and a central baking facility which supplies our stores with bakery products. The Company is a member of Wakefern, the largest retailer owned food cooperative warehouse in the United States and owner of the ShopRite name. The Company operates in one industry segment, the retail sale of food and non-food products, primarily in the Central New Jersey region. We have incorporated the concept of World Class supermarkets into our operations.
