IDACORP Inc. is listed on NYSE (IDA). IDACORP, Inc. (IDACORP) is a holding company formed in 1998 whose principal operating subsidiary is Idaho Power Company (IPC). IDACORP is exempt from registration as a public utility holding company pursuant to Section 3(a)(1) of the Public Utility Holding Company Act of 1935 (1935 Act). In addition, pursuant to Rule 2 of the General Rules and Regulations under the 1935 Act, IDACORP is exempt from all the provisions of the 1935 Act and rules thereunder, except for Section 9(a)(2) of the 1935 Act, which requires IDACORP to seek prior Securities and Exchange Commission approval to acquire securities of another public utility company. IPC is an electric utility engaged in the generation, transmission, distribution, sale and purchase of electric energy. IPC is regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the state regulatory commissions of Idaho and Oregon. IPC is the parent of Idaho Energy Resources Co.
