Invitrogen Corporation is listed on NASDAQ (IVGN). We began operations as a California partnership in 1987 and incorporated in California in 1989. In 1997 we reincorporated as a Delaware corporation. Our principal offices are in Carlsbad, California. Our website is http:-www.invitrogen.com. We have made a number of significant acquisitions over the past five years that have expanded our overall size and the breadth of the products we offer, including the 2004 acquisition of BioReliance Corporation, the 2003 acquisitions of Molecular Probes, Inc. and substantially all the assets of PanVera LLC and the acquisitions of Life Technologies, Inc. and Dexter Corporation in 2000. We have also acquired a number of other, smaller companies over the past five years.
