It acquired all of the capital stock of its predecessor, Landstar System Holdings, Inc. (LSHI) on March 28, 1991. LSHI owns directly or indirectly all of the common stock of Landstar Ranger, Inc. (Landstar Ranger), Landstar Inway, Inc. (Landstar Inway), Landstar Ligon, Inc. (Landstar Ligon), Landstar Gemini, Inc. (Landstar Gemini), Landstar Carrier Services, Inc. (Landstar Carrier Services), Landstar Logistics, Inc. (Landstar Logistics), Landstar Express America, Inc. (Landstar Express America), Landstar Contractor Financing, Inc. (LCFI), Risk Management Claim Services, Inc. (RMCS) and Signature Insurance Company (Signature). Landstar Ranger, Landstar Inway, Landstar Ligon, Landstar Gemini, Landstar Carrier Services, Landstar Logistics and Landstar Express America are collectively herein referred to as Landstar's Operating Subsidiaries.
