NORTHEAST BANCORP is listed on AMEX (NBN). Northeast Bancorp (us, our, we,), a Maine corporation chartered in April 1987, is a bank holding company registered under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956 (the BHCA). Prior to 1996, the Company operated under the name Bethel Bancorp. The Companys primary subsidiary and principal asset is its wholly-owned banking subsidiary, Northeast Bank (the Bank or Northeast Bank), which has eleven banking branches. The Bank has an insurance division that offers property and casualty insurance products through the Banks wholly owned subsidiary, Northeast Bank Insurance Group, Inc. (NBIG). NBIG has eight insurance agency offices, three of which are located in our banking branches. In addition, we also offer investment brokerage services, including financial planning products and services, through our office in Falmouth, Maine. Investment brokerage services is a division of the Bank.

Northeast Utilities is listed on NYSE (NU). Northeast Utilities (NU) is the parent company of the Northeast Utilities system (the NU system). The NU system furnishes franchised retail electric service to approximately 1.9 million customers in 419 cities and towns in Connecticut, New Hampshire and western Massachusetts through three of NUs wholly-owned subsidiaries (The Connecticut Light and Power Company [CL&P], Public Service Company of New Hampshire [PSNH] and Western Massachusetts Electric Company [WMECO]). The NU system also furnishes franchised retail natural gas service in a large part of Connecticut through Yankee Gas Services Company (Yankee Gas), a subsidiary of Yankee Energy System, Inc. (Yankee), the largest natural gas distribution company in Connecticut. Yankee Gas serves approximately 194,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in 71 cities and towns in Connecticut, including large portions of the central and southwest sections of the state.
