(Bankshares or NBI) is a financial holding company organized under the laws of Virginia in 1986 and registered under the Bank Holding Company Act (BHCA). Bankshares conducts the majority of its business operations through its two wholly-owned bank subsidiaries, The National Bank of Blacksburg (NBB) and Bank of Tazewell County (BTC), and through National Bankshares Financial Services, Inc.
