As of September 30, 2003, Provident Bancorp had 7,946,521 shares of common stock issued and outstanding. As of that date, Provident Bancorp, MHC owned 4,416,000 shares of common stock of Provident Bancorp, representing 55.6% of the issued and outstanding shares of common stock. The remaining 3,530,521 shares are held by the public.
