The Company is organized in the State of Delaware and was originally formed as a joint venture between Edison Development Corporation and Mechanical Technology Incorporated in the State of Delaware on June 27, 1997 and succeeded by merger to all the assets, liabilities and equity of Plug Power L.L.C. on November 3, 1999. The Company is focused on an architecture-based technology platform, which includes proprietary proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell and fuel processing technologies, from which multiple products are being offered or are under development.
