PYR Energy Corporation is listed on AMEX (PYR). PYR Energy Corporation (referred to as PYR, the Company, we, us and our) is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company, engaged in the exploration, development and acquisition of crude oil and natural gas reserves. The Company was incorporated in March 1996 in the state of Delaware under the name Mar Ventures Inc. Effective as of August 6, 1997, the Company purchased all the ownership interests of PYR Energy, LLC, an oil and gas exploration company. On November 12, 1997, the name of the Company was changed to PYR Energy Corporation. Effective July 2, 2001, the Company was re-incorporated in Maryland through the merger of the Company into a wholly owned subsidiary, PYR Energy Corporation, a Maryland corporation. On February 18, 2004, PYR Cumberland LLC, PYR Mallard LLC, and PYR Pintail LLC were formed as wholly owned subsidiaries of PYR Energy Corporation.

The Company produces and markets over 20 styles of beer under the Pyramid, Thomas Kemper and MacTarnahan's brand names and a line of six premium sodas produced under the Thomas Kemper Soda Company brand name. The Company also operates restaurants adjacent to its breweries under the Pyramid Alehouse and MacTarnahan Taproom brand names. In 2004, the Company purchased the brewery and restaurant assets of Portland Brewing Company, increasing the Company's presence in the Oregon market, adding a fifth restaurant and acquiring the beer brands. The Company's breweries produce high quality, full-flavored beers in small batches using traditional brewing methods.
