OVERVIEW For over 30 years, Sterling Bancshares, Inc. and Sterling Bank have been committed to serving small to mid-sized businesses. We provide a broad array of financial services to Texas businesses and consumers through 36 banking offices in the greater metropolitan areas of Houston, San Antonio and Dallas, Texas. These cities are the 4th, 8th and 9th largest, respectively, in the United States based on population according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Sterling Bancshares was incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas in 1980 and became the parent bank holding company of Sterling Bank in 1981. Sterling Bank was chartered in 1974 under the laws of the State of Texas.
