United Security Bancshares

United Security Bancshares is listed on NASDAQ (UBFO). United Security Bancshares is a California corporation incorporated during March of 2001and is registered with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System as a bank holding company under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956, as amended. The Company's stock is listed on NASDAQ under the symbol UBFO. United Security Bank is a wholly-owned bank subsidiary of the Company and was formed in 1987. United Security Bancshares Capital Trust I (the Trust) is also a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company and was formed during June of 2001 as a Delaware business trust for the sole purpose of issuing Trust Preferred securities. At present, the Company does not engage in any material business activities other than ownership of the Bank. References to the Company are references to United Security Bancshares, Inc. (including the Bank), except for periods prior to June 12, 2001, in which case, references to the Company are references to the Bank.

(Bancshares) is a Delaware corporation organized in 1999, as a successor by merger with United Security Bancshares, Inc., an Alabama corporation. Bancshares is a bank holding company registered under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956, as amended, and it operates one banking subsidiary, First United Security Bank. The Bank owns all of the stock of Acceptance Loan Company, Inc. (ALC), a finance company organized for the purpose of making consumer loans and purchasing consumer loans from vendors. Bancshares owns all the stock of First Security Courier Corporation (First Security), an Alabama corporation organized for the purpose of providing certain bank courier services. The Bank's wholly-owned Arizona subsidiary, FUSB Reinsurance, Inc. (FUSB Reinsurance), reinsures or underwrites credit life and credit accident and health insurance policies sold to the Bank's consumer loan customers.
