Wacoal Corp. is a joint stock corporation that was incorporated under the Commercial Code of Japan in 1949 with the name Wako Shoji Kabushiki Kaisha. Our name was changed to Wacoal Kabushiki Kaisha in 1957 and further changed to Kabushiki Kaisha Wacoal (or Wacoal Corp.) in 1964. Our corporate headquarters are located at 29 Nakajima-cho, Kisshoin, Minami-ku, Kyoto 601-8530, Japan. Our telephone number is 81-75-682-5111. We conduct our business and operations principally in Japan. In addition, since our incorporation, we have established a number of overseas subsidiaries and joint venture companies, including in the U.S., China, France, the U.K., and several countries in Southeast Asia. These subsidiaries and joint venture companies are described in Item 4.B. (Business Overview), and elsewhere in this annual report. In May 2005 we announced our plan to spin off all of Wacoal Corp.
