The Bank, which was originally organized in 1909, is a Federally chartered savings bank and wholly owned subsidiary of the Company. The Banks business consists primarily of making commercial business and consumer loans as well as real estate loans, both commercial and residential, funded primarily by retail and business deposits along with borrowings obtained from the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of Pittsburgh. After the close of business on August 31, 2005, the Company completed its acquisition of Chester Valley Bancorp Inc. (Chester Valley), a registered bank holding company headquartered in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, with over $636 million in assets.
