Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company is listed on NYSE (WWY). (1) General information. From 1891 to 1903, the Company was operated as a partnership until its incorporation in Illinois as Wm. Wrigley Jr. - Co. in December 1903. In November 1910, the Company was reincorporated under West Virginia law as Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company , and in October 1927, was reincorporated under the same name under Delaware law. The Company has concentrated on one principal line of business: manufacturing and marketing quality confectionery products, primarily chewing gum. Information relating to the Company's acquisition of certain confectionery assets related to the Joyco Group is set forth on page 44 of the Company's 2004 Annual Report under the caption Acquisition and is incorporated herein by reference. Information relating to the Company's proposed acquisition of certain non-chocolate confectionery assets from Kraft Foods Global, Inc.

(WMS) was incorporated in Delaware on November 20, 1974 under the name Williams Electronics, Inc. and succeeded to the amusement game business that had been conducted for almost 30 years prior to 1974 by our predecessors. For more than five years, our business has consisted exclusively of the design, manufacture and marketing of gaming machines and video lottery terminals, or VLTs. We conduct our gaming machine business through our subsidiary, WMS Gaming Inc. (WMS Gaming), which markets our products under the WMS Gaming trademark. Our fiscal year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30. In fiscal 2004, we launched our new game platform, CPU-NXT and our new game cabinet Bluebird, and we resumed profitable quarterly results in the second half of fiscal 2004, which continued through each quarter of fiscal 2005.
