Qiao Xing Universal Telephone Inc. is listed on NASDAQ (XING). From our inception through December 31, 2002, Qiao Xing Universal Telephone, Inc. (Qiao Xing) was principally engaged in the manufacturing and sales of telecommunication terminals and equipment, including corded and cordless telephone sets, in China. Our history dates back to April 1992 when Mr. Rui Lin Wu, our founder and chief executive officer, established Qiao Xing Telecommunication Industry Co. Ltd. in Huizhou, People's Republic of China (PRC or China). We initially were engaged in the original design manufacturing of corded telephones, whereby products are designed and manufactured to the customer's requirements and instructions and are marketed under the customer's designated brand name or without designated brand name. When we commenced our operations in August 1992, we consisted of only 100 employees and two production lines producing telephones.
