As used herein, the Company means Young Broadcasting Inc. and, where the context requires, its subsidiaries (the Subsidiaries). General The Company owns and operates ten television stations in geographically diverse markets and a national television sales representation firm, Adam Young Inc. Five of the stations are affiliated with American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. (ABC), three are affiliated with CBS Inc. (CBS), one is affiliated with National Broadcasting Company, Inc. (NBC), and one station is an independent station.

Young Innovations, Inc. and its subsidiaries develop, manufacture, and market supplies and equipment used to facilitate the practice of dentistry and to promote oral health. The Companys product offering includes disposable and metal prophylaxis (prophy) angles, prophy cups and brushes, panoramic X-ray machines, dental handpieces (drills) and related components, orthodontic toothbrushes, flavored examination gloves, childrens toothbrushes, moisture control products, infection control products, ultrasonic scaling and endodontic systems, and obturation systems used in endodontic surgery (root canal procedures). These products are primarily marketed to dental professionals, principally dentists, endodontists, orthodontists, dental hygienists and dental assistants. The Companys manufacturing and distribution facilities are located in Missouri, California, Indiana, Colorado, Tennessee, Texas and Canada.
