Looking for Widescreen Wallpaper to complete your Notebook experience?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Zeebob @ 1:03 pm

Nowadays, large number of notebooks are sold with widescreen LCD displays. By default you should get at least one cool looking wallpaper. However, have you ever tried searching for another alternative widescreen wallpapers? Well, I will try to compile some of the best ones out there.

A good place to start is ofcourse to check out wallpaperbase. Its a good start with lots of nature themes and specially love the white sandy beach pictures. There is even a section for extremly large wallpaper (1920×1200) and WOW! they look amazing.

Second up is the masive collection of wallpapers based on screen resolution. InterFacelift is a site for graphic artists hang out and share some of their works. The best thing about InterFacelift is that you can pick the resolution from the smallest (PSP size) to the biggest (2560×1600) or twin monitors. The site features regularly updated content and is a good source for creative wallpapers. You can sign up for a free account and keep track of the best, top rated wallpapers.

Next, you got Jurko’s Widescreen collection uploaded by users. The nice, most obvious thing about Jurko is that you get to see a large selection of dektop background right from the start. Each page have at least 36 thumbnails picture. Its a quick way to scan thru for the finest looking background graphic. The site loads fast and is constantly refreshed with the latest wallpaper.

Moving on, we got SoDesk Wallpaper and its a killer. On first visit, there should be at least a hundred thumb shots and its really fast (considering there are a lot of pictures). The difference between SoDesk and the rest is that the collection on site is more geared towards abstarct wallpapers and it also keep tracks of the number of views each widescreen wallpaper gets.

How about something really huge, try Cognitive Distortion. They have a large collection of super high resolution wallpaper of stars and galaxies. Pictures look so beautiful and the attention to details is unbelievable. Im using a 1280×800 screen and I need to scroll to finish the view.

Did I miss anything? Leave a comment and I will see it gets published.
